I got a lot of queries from direct employers reaching out on how to renew/verified their Maid Contract (POEA) in KL Embassy. Just so happened I got acquainted with a house helper whom she renewed and had her contract verified as well. Of course with the permission of her employer.
Please have these things ready before going to the Philippine Embassy in KL.
- Original existing employment contract which had been verified either POLO or in POEA in Philippines
- Passport with valid Working Visa ( should be process before hand) Online process in myeg cost RM631
- Fees Breakdown
Notary Public - RM 50
OWWA Membership- RM 90
Polo (Verification) - RM 40
Individual Contract( Domestic Helpers) - RM 138.75 (breakdown: Verification RM 42.50, Authentication RM 96.25)
- Maid Insurance (through AXA or POS)
- 1 Passport Size Photo
Note: This post is intended for OFW ( Household Service Workers) in Malaysia who renewed their Visa to their existing employer without going to an agency
To start the process please follow the guide below.
1. Get a priority Number near to Window 2 and choose Window 7 Verification
2. Obtain a POEA Contract form at Window 7. The embassy staff will guide what needs to be done. Or you can download from here.
3. You must fill out the POEA Contract form legibly and must have it signed by your employer.
4. Then you must notarize this document to Notary Public Office. Check this link where to notarize the document. ( Notarize Fee 50RM)
5. Submit the notarize document ( with one Photocopy attached the photo) together with your passport, insurance and existing contract to Window 7
6. Once verified, they will collect the fees. Then will stamped with Renewal and Verified on your document.
7. The staff will passed the document to Window 8 which you will pay OWWA Membership Fee of 90RM.
8. You can request as well to get an OEC at the same time for 10RM.
If you can get all the documents signed and notarize in the morning, you can finish all these steps within the day.
Hope this guide helps you. Feel free to drop me a message if you need some assistance.
