How to register in Overseas Absentee Voting in KL, Malaysia

The deadline for Overseas Absentee Voting is approximately 10 days from now. Technically there are only 8 working days left for the COMELEC-Embassy staff to attend the OAV registration. So spare your little time and head on to the Philippine embassy in KL.

I just went to Philippine Embassy in KL today to register for Overseas Absentee voting and let me share you my experience.

- Just bring your passport and a pen.

1. Once you're in embassy premises, no need to queue just head straight to these Office door. Photo below ( same office where SSS and Pag-Ibig staff are place)

2. Get the Overseas Absentee Voting form from the COMELEC-embassy staff.

3. Fill the form legibly and make sure to provide the correct Mailing Address. Why?  The staff stressed the importance as  "They will courier the ballot form together with the list of Candidates for President, Vice, Senator and Party List." straight to your mailbox.

3. Submit the filled OAV form to the staff together with your passport and wait to be called.

The staff will counter check your filled form and make sure everything is correct. Then will capture your photo, obtain  digital fingerprints through Finger scanner and get your signature specimen. This requirement is pursuant to RA10367.

4. Once everything is done, the staff will give you an acknowledgment receipt. Just like photo below.

That's 4 easy steps to register. Now are you ready to exercise your right of suffrage?

Vote Wisely!
