How to get terminal fee refund for OFW at NAIA3

Beginning of February 1 2015, the NAIA Terminal Fee of (P550) for international flights had been integrated into airline tickets. This new policy ease the congestion of queues of paying upfront at Terminal Fee counter for travelers and vacationers. But OFW are normally exempted on this Terminal Fee. This comes the whole Refund process comes to the picture. Don't worry, I'll share step by step how to obtain your terminal fee refund. 

Note: Only Applicable to OFW transiting Manila.


1. After getting your OEC validated. Must check in first on your airline (dropping baggage, Web Check in etc ). Together with your boarding pass go to Cashier (International) of your Airline. 



2. Inform the staff, you're requesting for Terminal Fee Refund. They will get your boarding pass and will print LI (shown photo below).




3. Must clear the Immigration first, as Refund Counter is just right after Immigration area.




4. Please prepare the documents required for Refund. OEC, LI, boarding pass.



5. Proceed to Refund Counter. Normally the queue is lesser during early afternoon.



6. Sign the acknowledgment slip.



7. The staff will return your 550 pesos in cold cash. Additional cash for pasalubong :)
