How to process the POEA documents in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Few years back, Filipinos who got a job in Malaysia (entering as tourist) can only processed  POEA documents  in the home country. There was no option but to to go home.  It is impractical,  tedious and time consuming. Good thing now, it becomes more easy for the employer and Filipino worker to apply and obtain POEA documents in Philippine Embassy in  Kuala Lumpur. 




Before you collect the documents below, you must know beforehand by asking your employer if you're Direct Hired or will go through agency. 


Direct Hires/ Name Hires are categorized between the two.


1) Name Hires is applicable for companies with less than 10 Filipinos employed in the current company

2) For companies with more than 10 Filipino workers, documents are processed through an Accredited Agency (an appointed agency in the Philippines by your employer)


The latter is much easier since most of the agencies will arrange that on your behalf. 


The process below is only applicable 

1. If your company wasn't registered yet in  POLO KL Office.
2 If you are being hired as Filipino Skilled Worker ( Expat, Professionals, General Worker)



LIST OF REQUIREMENTS

1. Duly accomplished Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA)-standard employment contract attested by any registered Malaysian Notary Public (NOT/BUKAN Commissioner for Oath)



2. Immigration approval for Employment (Calling Visa/DP10/MSC approval)



3. Business/Company License (Form 9/Form 13)



4. Forms 24/49-Certified True Copy



5. Letter/certification from the company on the number of hired Filipinos



6. Affidavit of Undertaking



7. One (1) page company profile



8. Photocopy of workers’ passport



9. Photocopy of employer’s IC/passport



10. Passport size photo of the worker (2 copies)



11. Fees (per document ) - 


Verification Fee - RM 38.50
Authentication Fee - RM 96.25
Total: 134.75
(Only docs 1 to 4 must be paid at RM134.75 each = RM539.00) 



12. Must submit  (2) sets : 1 original and 1 photocopy



13. Processing will take 5-7 working days after approval and payment



14. Verified and authenticated documents should be submitted to POEA and original calling visa must be attested by Wisma Putra (as required by the Malaysian Embassy in Manila.

NOTE:  Items 2 & 3 requires English translation only from the High Court/Session Court Interpreter.



All the documents from 1-7 and 9 should be provided by your employer. Most of the time, the employer shoulder the expense of the fees above. But in some cases it will be borne by the worker.
