The title applies promoting OFWS to participate the Absentee Voting program which enables one to cast a vote in Philippine election. It's actually a law which commonly known as Overseas Absentee Voting Act (RA 9189).
Though it's optional and not mandatory but still it's a duty of every Filipino to participate and exercise his/her right of suffrage.
A registered overseas absentee voter can vote for the following positions
- President and Vice President ( coming 2016 Presidential elections)
- Senators
- Party List representatives.
How to register
1. Individual must personally file their application at Philippine embassy in KL.
2. Must be Philippine passport with accomplished overseas absentee voting (OAV) registration can get from Embassy + Philippine Passport
To confirm successful registration, you can check the list from Phil embassy through their boards or FB fan page site.
