There are a lot of Remittance centers across Malaysia but only few of them stood out and preferred by our fellow Kababayans. It maybe due to it's low charge rate per remittance or it has a good conversion rate to Pesos.
Here are some of notable Remittance Centers in KL-Selangor Area

RHB accepts transactions through Western Union. The charge rate per remittance is bit high and conversion rate is bit low. The only advantage of this service is that it reflect real time which is good if your family needs the money the soonest. All you have to do is give the Tracking number and the amount to the recipient. Money sent!

SMJ Teratai gives higher conversion rates to pesos and minimal charge per remittance. They are partnered with Moneygram and LBC remittance in the Philippines, which is convenient to recipient family member.

IME or international Money Express charge per remittance is bit high but they have a lot of remittance partners in the Philippines which is convenient especially in the provinces.
HOW TO GO TO MERCHANTRADE FROM MASJID JAMEK LRT
Merchantrade is the most preferred remittance center for OFWs living in KL. No wonder you'll see a bunch of OFW's sending money on this center. If you send money through a bank recipient in the Philippines it will only cost you around 9RM per transaction with certain maximum limit. The exchange rate margin is quite low which means their rate is somehow close to actual exchange rate value of RM to Pesos in the market. That' s why I preferred sending money on this center.
Other advantage of Merchantrade is eremit which is an online facility to do the remittance. (Will share on the separate post how to do Online remittance).
Aside from sending remittance through banks, they're also partnered with Cebuana Lhuillier and other remittance centers in Philippines. But this will be bit high and quite similar to IME remit charge.
